@IcedOut thanks for lettibg us know when they might release the decision. wow. it might be next week then. :O

My appeal to SB got rejected…confidence just went down

I just called again today and they’re saying the same thing… “The person who inputs the appeals was out for a few days”

Hey guys mine updated. It says:

Status of your appeal: Your appeal is pending/under consideration;
you will be notified via e-mail when to check
for your appeal decision.

I hope everyones status changed. Has any one been told about their appeal being granted or regected?

^ *rejected

do waitlist decisions affect our appeal decisions???

Has anyone heard back yet?

we’ll probably hear back after waitlist

They already heard back though

they heard back today so maybe a day or two??? i don’t know

I called the admission today and they said appeal decision will be announced beginning of June and probably will extend to the end of month…sounds too long. I hope this is just the estimated time frame and actual result will be posted earlier.

thats ridiculous! well i committed to university of the pacific and im happy with that!

guess i can pay my Cal Poly Pomona orientation fee now

Wait if everyone got rejected from wait list then they obviously don’t have room so why are they waiting till June to tell us?

There’s no Cal student on waitlist got accepted this year (not sure for out-of-state) due to high numbers of SIR. Admission said appeals are reviewed under case by case situation so it’ll take longer to evaluate each package

Please take a look on the UCI data last year,

Waitlist - 3,700 waitlist offers went out; 1,600 students opted in; all were admitted; 680 SIR’ed.

Appeal - 958 appeals received; 575 students were admitted; 480 SIR’ed.

The waitlist SIR’ed rate is only 42.50 and appeal SIR’ed is close to 84% so I believe they should reserve some space for appeal IMO. However last year’s waitlist opted in all got admitted comparing to “none” this year, the appeal doesn’t look optimistic but still keep my finger-crossed, so do you guys.

Sigh…this wait on appeal is killing me. June is almost here so it shouldn’t be too much of a longer wait. I know there won’t be many appeals granted due to the high number of SIR’s this year. I believe almost every UC this year got a lot of SIR’s. I plan on just going to UC Santa Cruz for 2 years then transferring to UC LA or UC SD. Better than going to a CC since I’ll be able to get more units in 2 years if I go to a UC.

I heard there were a lot of appeals this year. I called yesterday and they said we will get a decision 4-6 weeks from the day they got it. They said we will find out soon.

^^Units from CCC do transfer over to the UC’s. It’s only the GPA’s that don’t transfer over. UC to UC transfer applicants also get lower priority than CCC applicants for transfer admissions.

So we have a better chance at ucs if we go to ccc? I thought transferring between ucs was easier
