UCI Requierments?

<p>Hi everyone.</p>

<p>I have been taking calculus 1 during the 6-week summer session at my school. Its been tough and now I am in a position where the best case scenario is passing the class with a C.</p>

<p>I was wondering if it would be a smart idea to take the W for the class and retake it over Fall.</p>

<p>The problem is that this would cause me to be missing some pre reqs for every UC except UCI, and even then I would only be meeting the minimum requirements for my major (1 year of calculus and 1 year of computer science courses).</p>

<p>My major is computer science and my UC GPA is 3.6 (3.3 if I get a C in calculus). What should I do?</p>

<p>Why will dropping Calculus cause you to miss other prereqs?</p>

<p>calculus is a requisite for calc 2, which i would then take in the fall</p>

<p>and calc 2 is a prerequisite for calc 3 and 4 which i would take during spring 2013.</p>

<p>However, I spoke with a counselor and she told me to drop the class.</p>
