UCI Scholarship Application Questions

I have a question about the UC Irvine Scholarship Application…

For Section 2, Biographical Information, when it says “Expected Year of Graduation” and
“Expected Quarter of Graduation,” does it mean at my high school or at UCI? (I’m currently a high school senior, btw.)

Which scholarship(s) are you applying? Scholarships for in-coming Freshman?

If you are applying for a UCI scholarship, then typically it is for use while at UCI.
They’re not going to give you a scholarship for your use at your high school.
Your expected year of graduation is in 4 years at UCI.
Your expected quarter of graduation is spring or summer, depending on how they categorize it. (Many high schools don’t specify by quarter, they go by semesters-This was another clue for you regarding dates).

@Gumbymom
I have no idea. I just started the scholarship application in my freshman applicant portal and this is where I ended up…
This might be a general scholarship application but I am not sure.

Apparently the application timeframe for freshman applicants is December 1 to January 15 while for continuing students it is January 1 to February 29…
My deadline as listed in the scholarship tab is January 15. But…idk.

This is what I got in my email from UCI:

"Thank you for applying to UCI, _____!

"UCI Scholarships would like to introduce a brand new application process. You can now apply to all UCI campuswide scholarships with one simple online application located under the scholarship tab in your UCI Applicant Portal. If you are admitted, any scholarship you receive will be applied to your cost of attendance. The application is now open until January 15, 2019.

"Login with your UCI NetID and password. If you have not yet activated your ID, please refer to the previous message sent to you by UCI Admissions.

“Make sure to file your 2020-2021 FAFSA by January 31, 2020 to be eligible for scholarships! International students may apply to UCI scholarships without being required to file a FAFSA or CA Dream Act application.”

There was an “Apply Now” button after the first two paragraphs, so I just clicked that and it took me to where I am now.

@“aunt bea” I see…so 2024? And for the “Expected Quarter of Graduation,” would you recommend I put spring or summer (for UCI)?

@kaaehchan: Use the information that @“aunt bea” posted above ^^^^.

It’s an estimate of graduation date, so I would put Spring 2024

@“aunt bea” Alright, thanks!
