Hey guys, after I submitted my SIR I was under the impression that I also had to complete an SLR before doing the housing application. However, when I clicked into the SLR next to the housing button, it states that I'm a "resident", and there are no questions or whatsoever for me to fill out. My friend said he had questions to answer, but he's wasn't born in California/America. Does this mean I don't have to complete an SLR because I was born in California? I was able to do my housing application. It's all completed, paid, and everything.

…
The same happened to me but it did not let me do my housing application…

After you log in to the “message center” UCI site [UCI Office of Admissions & Relations with Schools](http://www.admissions.uci.edu)
there is a button for the SLR near the bottom of the page. That is where we filled out the form.

Yes. I went there, but I didn’t have a form to fill out.
This is what I see:

Your classification as of 04/01/2011 is RESIDENT of California for tuition fee purposes.

This classification is subject to review by the UCI Residence Officer. General information regarding residence classification for tuition fee purposes is available by selecting the Residence Classification link on the UCI Registrar’s Office Web site.
Please review your receipt. Send any corrections or additional information including your UCI Student ID Number and your full name to:

…then it shows my basic information.

It showed the same exact thing for me too. I feel like I skipped something… it was too easy.

Mine was hard! They asked me the same questions, three times, one for me, my mom, and my dad. Stuff about military status, filing status, resident since dates.

Like Vizy93, I’ve had to fill out a really long form despite being a residence of California for over 10 years.

Now I’m getting:

Your classification as of 04/16/2011 is UNDER REVIEW by the UCI Residence Officer.

I’m just guessing here, but I think if you don’t have to fill out anything for the SLR, it means your answers to the questions re: residency in the UC application were enough to be classified as a resident?

it was a long one for me too.
