UCI TAG HELP!!

So I applied through the TAG program to UCI with a 3.4 Fall 2014. I got in and now JULY 2015 I received a message saying my GPA is a 3.36 and that I wont be able to get in as a Computer Science major because I must maintain a 3.4 GPA. The weird part is I already register for UCI classes, have a UCI email and everything.Is there any appeal I can do this late or am I going to have to reapply through the regular application process? Has anyone been through this situation an actually gotten into the school ?

Call and ask how they calculated your GPA to be a 3.36.

If they are firm at a 3.4, you need to ask THEM what your options are

I think the TAG agreement says that you have to keep 3.4 through the spring semester before you transfer. It does seem like a little late to notify you, but I would definitely call and ask what you are supposed to do now. Sorry I couldn’t help. Good luck!

2 options:get in as a different major(Art,History, one with no pre reqs) or reapply this fall. I needed to get a B in calculus 2 I got a C :frowning:

Which of your two options do you prefer? Can you take a really quick class to bring your GPA up?

FWIW, If I were you I’d re-apply and take some fluff classes to get your GPA up.

Well I love Computer Science so i need to re-apply now im scared I wont get in. Yeah im going to take a few classes to boost my GPA
