Hello! Incoming undergrad student here,
I’m asking for ANY tips that are UCI/college related–from academics to social life. I was clueless about high school, and so I am not repeating that with college. Everyone is welcome to ask questions and answer; help each other out! 
Some things I would appreciate to hear about are:
-research opportunities (I’m a Bio Sci major)
-class registration: when does enrollment occur, how many classes does one typically have each quarter?
-GEs: I notice that there are a variety of classes you can choose from to fulfill your GEs; how did you narrow down which class to choose? Should I pick all GE classes related to Bio Sci since that’s my major?
-I noticed that some people my age are taking classes at a community college (an opportunity I didn’t know about), does this allow them to graduate earlier?
-any extracurriculars/opportunities outside of school that are helpful for when applying to graduate school (like internships)
-tips for buying textbooks (like where to buy for cheap)
