UCI to John Wayne Airport

Is there a campus shuttle that takes you to John Wayne Airport or do you have to take the OCTA?

When I checked out OCTA, it takes about an a hour to go from UCI to go the the airport. Am I missing something? I heard the campus is close to the airport. I think OCTA is doing some road construction. Do anyone know when this suppose to be finished? How long does it typical take you to go from UCI to the airport using OCTA?

I know there isn’t a campus shuttle to the airport so you have take the OCTA or get a taxi. It’s literally less than 10 minutes away from campus so an hour on the bus seems ridiculous.

Thats odd that it takes an hour to go from UCI to the airport…it takes about 5 mins for me in my car =/

It’s more like 45 minutes. I’ve done it by bus.

I think I took the 178 bus, then transferred on the 76 or something. Obviously it’s only like 3 or so miles away, but it still beats walking, and $15 for the taxi/shuttle ride. If you have friends that are willing to take you, then that’s good otherwise I think this route is the best because it takes you directly into the terminal.

yeah, the OCTA really slows you down because it makes other stops and you might need to transfer buses

with OCTA, sinc eu need to make STOPS and TRANSFERS it takes like 45mins-1 hour

I say if you’re going to the Airport get a friend to drive u!

With constant stops and such it will take much longer than going by car, try asking someone to take you to the airport. Best thing is carpooling.

As Brando said ask someone to take you. I have a car and I have multiple times driven people to the Airport.
