Hi all,
I received a transcript request message from the adcoms at UCI..isn't this a bit too early? Has anyone else received anything similar? My stats are low for the school, is this a sign of some sort?
Thanks

Either you were randomly selected or you are at the borderline mark, as in your transcript could determine whether you'll be accepted or not.

Thanks, I truly hope its the latter as this would make a huge difference to me. But my counselor told me that it's not really a big deal and their just using it for verification purposes.

i got called today and had to do the same

they want your first semester senior grades to see if you 1) dropped aps, 2) maintained your grades. If your grades were fairly solid you should be happy. If there was a big drop and you dropped classes, you should be a little worried

cal 90 what are your stats?..just want to see if i'm around your area

I just calculated my GPA using the UC style, and my stats aren't very good:

Around 3.6 GPA (weighted) higher than what I thought but still not good enough.
SAT Score is 1890.
ACT Score is 27.

My Senior year first semester GPA is about a 4.4-5 weighted on different scales. I took the most number of AP classes in this year throughout my whole high school career (stupid, I know). Also, just on a side note, do you guys think it would be advantageous for me to do the IB Mathematics project and take the test as far as college admissions go?

BTW, didn't drop any AP classes.

Edit: I re-calculated my GPA using the UC scale and I got a 3.3.
