so. i'm worried. i sent in my transcripts and i have yet to see anything indicating they have been received. it takes about three weeks for processing and... yeah.

UCI states that there will be a hold if they don't receive paperwork and documents by July 15th and more delay will lead to being rescinded. is that certain? or is it if you've missed the date, you're withdrawn?

fidgeting. and fretting. i didn't want to send in my transcripts too early 'cause grades hadn't come in until later in june soes... fidget

edit: just for reference, my CC is OCC. how is transcript processing for OCC-ers?

My experience hasn’t been good either. I had a total of four transcripts sent to UCI. All of them had to be signed for. Three of them were updated to “received” within 2 days. One of them, however, has been pending for 10 days since it was signed for. I called admissions several times already and they kept on saying that it could take up to two weeks for the mail room to deliver transcripts to admissions. Then this morning I decided to call the mail room hoping to understand how it is possible for any mail to take this long to be delivered. I was surprised when they said the transcripts were delivered one day after being signed for. I called admissions again, and they called records and all of a sudden They were finally able to locate my transcripts 10 days after being received. They said it should be updated the next few days.

i’m supersuper worried. i probably should have sent them sooner, but i wanted to make sure my grades got in and everything.

anyone know if you miss teh deadline date, you’re screwed and rescinded? or it’s a- hold. and any more delays - THEN you’re rescinded?

I have the same problem too. I need four transcripts mailed to UCI and one of them is foreign. So far they’ve only received one and I dot understand why it’s taking so long.

As for the holding of your records, I heard they automatically put your records on hold as a transfer student anyway and the only way to get rid of that hold is to go to academic counseling. But I’m sure if your transcripts don’t arrive by July 15, you can always call and explain your situation.

yeah. i’m currently on hold anyway due to academic counseling. that makes sense. i’m just worried that they WON’T put me on hold if i don’t meet the date and i get rescinded. not to mention, i’m having trouble sending AP exams too. BLEH.

What is the address to send the transcripts to?

If it has been over 10 days since they were supposed to have received your transcripts call them and ask them to locate it for you. If your transcripts are going to be late, let them know and they will not rescind you. They said that only if the hold persists with no updates regarding transcripts is that your admission can be revoked. The hold that admissions put on your record Is different that the hold 6 that we all have now (the one that is because of academic counseling)

@tilly - thanks. uuggh. i knew i should have sent them in the week of the 13th. i ordered them the beginning of this week, because i’m a lame-o & really should know better. but i’m hoping they get received by the 15th…

that makes sense, the whole notifying Admissions if there’s a delay. thanks, tilly.

OH. also. does anyone knwo what’s the grace period should they - for whatever reason - not get it by the 15th? is it until July 31st? just gonna annoy my schools until my transcripts get sent until the 15th anyway, but just trying to get all the scenarios.

I believe they will give you An extra 1-2 weeks. But you can’t just assume that, you have to notify them through the message center.

Thanks pseudonymos, anyone else sending their transcripts themselves?
