@hopey, you should definitely call and ask them about it. Did you ever submit your TAU to update your coursework?

@krackalacka yeah I did submit my TAU on January 22! But I emailed them earlier last week and they responded back this morning saying that each application will be tallied at the local university so that they’re wouldn’t be any mistakes. I don’t think that I have anything to worry about. except my stats lol

u dun goofed

^ lollllllllllllllll

UCIs site says you need 2 english composition courses. does it matter which 2 they are?

You need two english class. Freshman composition and a critical thinking/writing class. I believe they are really strict on that

@mental what would be considered a critical thinking/writing class? I attend UCD and I don’t know what class to pick :/

Anyone got accepted from econ major (not biz econ)?

76,200 applied to UCI. (76,235 to be exact.)

15,616 of which are transfer students.

Good luck to all and good luck to me! 0.0

@yazzie where does it say that?

@speakbraille Initially I was looking into the Daily Bruin and I came across the article: [UCLA fall applications hit record high of almost 100,000 | Daily Bruin](http://dailybruin.com/2013/01/18/ucla-fall-applications-hit-record-high-of-almost-100000/)

If you want direct link to the stats of applicants (from the info. I stated), its below:

Transfer applications from California students dropped at 4 of the campuses though.

http://www.ucop.edu/news/factsheets/2013/fall_2013_applications_table2.3.pdf

@mental2. About that English requirement… Could I include passing the ap Lang test as completing one English transferable course and then taking another one at the school in turn having completed the two English courses needed?

@hopey

That’s what I did. I took both ap English tests and passed both and could only use those scores to fulfill freshmen comp; I still had to take critical thinking.

Sent from my SGH-T999 using CC

Hm yea i really have no idea what to do about the english thing…

i already took 1 lower division english composition course, but i don’t know what is considered a “critical thinking” english class

(i’m a uc-uc transfer btw)

Where do you guys see the requirement for needing a critical thinking English class? I can’t find it anywhere, does it depend on major I’m an mechanical engineer and also a uc-uc transfer

[Information for Transfer Students: Fulfilling Requirements for a Bachelor’s Degree](<a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>UCI General Catalogue Archives)

^It is part of IGETC

^ but if i’m not at a cc and don’t have to do that IGETC thing, does the critical thinking aspect of it stil apply?

fuzzyducky22, I would suggest looking up UCI’s GE requirements and compare it to the GE classes you’ve taken at UCSD. It is up to UCI to decide which classes to take, you could try giving them a call.

Im so sick of waiting. Does anybody know what the chances are of UCI releasing transfer decisions tonight?
