<p>I got an e-mail today at 5:00AM with the subject: IMPORTANT Information About Your 2013-14 Financial Aid Application at UC Irvine.</p>
<p>The e-mail proceeds to tell me to log into “My Aid” and check “My Aid Application Status.”
I do so and see,

<p>But when I check UCI Admissions and go to my message center, I don’t have anything listed. I have not been accepted or denied yet. Still waiting… =/</p>

<p>I noticed as well, but maybe that just has to do with the financial aid package for those who have been accepted. Either way, I’m really hoping I get something in my portal today. This month is going by pretty quick then it’ll be May before we know it.</p>
<p>yeah …the last time there system was updated was 4/01/2013 and after that it took them 10 days to send out acceptances …hope this is not the case though… i want to know this week if i got rejected </p>

<p>I just got out of an appointment with my counselor and he told me they literally work on batches. They get a certain number of applications, work on those, send out decisions for the entire batch at once, and then start a new one. So there will be acceptances and rejections in every batch. they usually release decisions on certain days, looks like it’s Wednesdays, so maybe there will be a batch today and then they start a new one tomorrow. Either way, all decisions will be out by the end of the month, so the wait won’t be long now.</p>

<p>Oh haha no I’m in the San Diego area. SB are name initials, I wasn’t feeling very creative when I created my username!
And for what it’s worth, he also told me UCSD likes to release decisions on Friday because then they don’t get calls right after they release decisions, since people have the weekend to think about good or bad news. UCI likes to release on Wednesdays apparently, so I don’t know what their intention is.</p>

<p>Ugh I know. We’re all at a disadvantage if they don’t tell us anything until late April. Gotta apply for housing and what not!</p>
<p>Yeah, I have a feeling I won’t be getting any notification until Friday or sometime next week. Not that i’m applying for housing or anything, but it would be nice to see what I can get from my financial aid package once I am accepted. UCI is my top choice right now and I would be so devastated if I don’t get in.</p>
