UCI Transfer 2013 Decisions

Exactly, I am very concise with my writing its like this is how it is this is why and im done. My paper is I have to write about one controversy surrounding apple (which is pretty much just the labor issues in china) and then write and analyze the arguments for and against it (how the hell are there supposed to be any arguments??? everything about this is just from reporters who aren’t really making any sort of argument) I’m at the point where I literally have to completely make up content within the articles thank god we aren’t submitting this online so I know he won’t be checking the sources. I’ve never seen more crap come from my mouth than in this essay.

Hi guys,

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but this is a dread for decisions and I think there’s another one for accepted students. All these posts about post-acceptance are clogging up the thread and people have to sort through them to get to questions about decisions. For future references, maybe starting a transfer thread would cover all topics for transfer students. However, this is still a decision thread.

SIGH. Super anxious right now because UCI still haven’t updated the site and I’m dying to hear back.

Good luck to the remaining applicants who still haven’t received words.

I don’t mind haha gives me a way to ignore my anxiety. But yea still freakin waiting!

My response is that no one has started classes at any school. So UCI is still a decision to be made by most. UCI decisions does not only have to be a place to find information about UCI deciding on you, it can also mean a place for you to get information on deciding about UCI.

I was a little disappointed that no decisions were made today, it seems. I guess it’s not as bad as waiting for USC’s decision.

@UCVet: what’s your major? If it’s something like CS, it’d be tough to turn down UCLA…

@ art2CS I am a Poli Sci major. It is a very, very difficult decision.

@UCBoundVet

Hmm, that’s interesting, but I see your point. My take on it was that the thread is for stats and acceptance/rejection decisions to help aid next year’s applicants. Like I said earlier, next time someone should just name their thread as “Transfer Decision”.

Yeah honestly this whole thread seems to have gone off on a HUGE tangent since the last batch came out, it’s literally become pages and pages of conversation not relevant to the topic of people getting admitted or not… every time i check this page there’s at least a page or two of new posts and it does take a lot of sifting to get to any actually useful information about admissions.

This whole site is like that, is it not? How is someone else statistics useful information for your admission? I understand the anxiety and frustration associated with waiting so I get where you guys are coming from. Here…
Accepted

Political Science
3.67+ GPA by the end of Spring. (3.9 GPA since going back to school after my military service)
EC’s: No civilian ones really just my military time.
Awards: Combat Infantry Badge, Army Commendation Medal w/ Valor, Army Good Conduct Medal, a lot more but those are the ones I listed on my app.

Yeah bro but honestly either way you’ll be good to go. Now if you plan on going to law school, hands down UCLA IMO unless it means an hour commute or something horrible like that

@ art on paper you are right UCLA is the way to go. However, an hour commute would be on a good day. Depending time of day the class is I would imagine anywhere from 1-2 hr drive each way.

In that case, Irvine lol.

ahh I’m gonna be commuting from Hollywood to Irvine…oh well! it’s all about having a positive attitude :)

For those who have not been accepted yet to UCI yet, do you show any changes to your UCI financial aid package or do you get the “mid-April” message. I don’t have any changes, just wondering if others have changes.

I get the “mid April” message^

I got accepted into UCI my senior year of high school. I decided to take the CC route and transfer either there, UCLA, or UCB. So far I have not heard back from anyone yet. My GPA is 3.58 and I am a Chemistry major. Some of my friends transferring did already hear back from Irvine, I think one as an English major and one as an Engineering major. I hope we all find out soon!

Ps. I tried to apply for housing and I think i saw that it said “waitlisted” somewhere on the page.

:( I feel rejection…

I have a feeling they will send out the decisions tomorrow!!! not today!!!

Got into UCI - 04/11
Major - Chemical Engineering
GPA - 3.32

Question for all: However, in the personalized provisional contract they said that I had to get a B or better in the last physics course that I’m currently taking. Does this mean that if I get a C, I won’t be able to attend? I also got into UCR and it’s the same - they want a B or higher. So will I get rejected if I get not a D or an F, but a C?
