OHH wait yeah it did say “late April” and now “shortly”… I hope this is a good sign!!!

@SBvett mine says “Your file is complete. We expect to have your financial aid award available shortly. You will receive notification from us once your award information is available.” it was updated within the last day because i checked yesterday at around 5 and i had the mid-April message

Million Dollar question is has it changed for everyone!!!

have any rejections been sent out yet?

Don’t lose hope guys i never thought i would get in and I did!
Also has anyone else tried to apple for housing yet? It says i cant apply for housing right now.

@rickyseg I haven’t attempted to yet, but I’l try and see if i have the same problem. btw what housing are you looking at, I’m not where I would like to stay. I need some insight on that. thanks!

Does anyone know if they consider previous applications? I was admitted as a Freshman but decided not to go, but have since re-applied as a transfer student. Curious to know whether or not they will factor that in to their new decision.

@rickyseg I applied to housing last weekend. I did it a few days after I SIRd because I wanted to talk to someone about housing when I went to Celebrate UCI since I want (well have to since my husband needs a place to live too) live at Verano Place or Palo Verde. So maybe it needs a few days to register that you SIRd? Not sure though.

I’m looking at Arroyo vista right now, I was thinking about VDC Norte I can afford it but i wont have as much extra money so im prolly going to do Arroyo Vista instead plus thats single appartments and half the reason I want to live on campus is for that experience so if im all isolated from everyone thats missing the point haha so i think im going for Arroyo vista where its the doubles.

I want to look for housing
too! But I already live in Irvine so it wouldn’t make sense meh I’m green with envy

Well i am in tustin but i feel like you have to live on campus atleast a year its part of the college experience. But you dont have to.

@rickyseg

Verano or Palo Verde is the best I can do since I need the family housing. If we can actually get in there it would save us so much on rent compared to where we are now. Plus gas and the parking permit there! Plus it would be great to be there for campus events since we would live close because I know that if I have to actually drive back and forth, I probably wouldn’t go to as many events. I hope we can get in, I’ve heard it is tough to get family housing.

I think Arroyo Vista looks pretty good. Hopefully you can get in there!

Ugh still nothing!!! smashes laptop lol. Yesterday most of the people found out in the later evening right? Around 7-8? So that I know to check later in the day and not mark today as a “no admissions sent” day :P

@staar987 I’ll probably applying there too since I’m a lot older than most on campus transfers. I would feel so out of place. Hopefully sharing a place with couples or families would make me feel like I’m a part of uci and also comfortable.

Yes my financial aid says the same thing as well.

@Nellsdo

I don’t know if you have gotten any info from them about the housing there, but there are a bunch of one bedroom apartments there. They also told me that the more floorplans you choose, the better your chances. I think we ended up with about 15 different floorplans on the application. I’m older than other transfers too, so I fit all the requirements to apply there (25+ and/or married).

There are also a ton of older grad students there that aren’t in a couple or a family. So you won’t be out of place!

I don’t really have a huge housing preference at this point… I just want my own room.lol and it has to be close to campus…thats about it for my preferences

@ clamfest

I got an email about application status at 3 am and an email about financial aid at 5:30 am today.

@staar987 thank you! Gosh I’m getting so nervous waiting for other UCs. Most stressful time of the month.
