<p>So they’re liars and TAG doesn’t count for anything. I was approved in the fall because I didn’t get a rejection obviously. How would I appeal when this was supposed to be a mistake. I mean, not even waitlised?! Just FLAT OUT rejected?! I’m gonna get off this board for awhile and see what happens when I call on monday…I can’t believe this. Good luck to the rest and congrats on the rest.</p>

<p>@clamfest yes, definitely call them Monday and ask them why you were rejected with your TAG approved and they should be able to do something and change your admission status! Hopefully there aren’t pre-reqs or any requirements missing and everything will be fine after you tell them!</p>

<p>but PLEASE do the appeal and call in monday. it wouldn’t hurt to try since i heard UCI took people that appealed from last year. </p>
<p>i know rejections are hard to take in. i went through it last year when i applied to UCLA and got rejected. so i know how it feels when your top choice didn’t take you. whatever decisions you will make, i wish you well whether if it’s UCI or some other UC. don’t let this be in the way of pursuing what you want for your future. i say keep going!</p>

<p>I wasn’t even considering going to UCI, but was still a little shocked that I was rejected. I was accepted to UCSB, UCSD, and UC Davis already though.</p>

<p>I just feel so… I don’t know. I just feel like acceptances can be soo unfair sometimes. I had an above average GPA, all my prereqs and GEs done, a family death, a strong upward GPA trend, clubs and sports, etc. I guess I’m not “good enough” for UCI. Even in high school, I was rejected with a 3.9, 1940SAT, a ton of clubs and ECs, a job, volunteer work, and UCI still didn’t think I was good enough. I definitely think I deserved to get in, along with many others who got rejected. So tired of this BS… This rejection is really starting to make me question my own personal intellectual capabilities.
Just because I’m from another UC… I really don’t know why I was rejected, even though UC-UC is hard. But I know a ton of people who’ve done it… I’m definitely calling ask why I was rejected.</p>
<p>@ellycin, do you have any idea why you’re still pending? I have foreign transcripts so I think they take longer to evaluate that… But that’s just a theory. No clue. There must be only a handful of people still pending. I don’t know what to think :|</p>
