UCI Transfer 2013 Decisions

Lol does anyone know where the big brick wall that says “University of California Irvine” with the logo? I know it’s somewhere on the west entrance right?

@Sbvett, wow, I’m impressed that they put so much time into it. Lucky you. (:

Just got back from the Discover UCI event; I thought it was a pretty nice atmosphere! The counselors at the school-specific tables were so friendly.

Got a lot of good info on financial aid, my specific major, housing, and summer school open courses today. The tour was also nice and I visited their gym (ARC) and it is amazing.

I thought it was pretty cool they were letting people register on site! I didn’t RSVP, showed up thinking I’d have to sneak in haha, and they had it all set up! Future applicants / admits, go, even if you can’t RSVP online!
@fkhan0, yes, I think that’s pretty amazing they took the time to do that too. One of the reasons why I’m happy to go there, they really care!

Just got back from Discover UCI. It was very nice. Lots of people.

I like the Transfer luncheon better. Got to hear from the Vice Chancellor and ask him questions.

Food was way better too. Mmm fajitas and guacamole!!

Clamfest, my appeal is pending like u. I sent in appeal around end of april to uci.

However I got my ucsb appeal decision back on friday the16th. I appealed to ucsb since early april (first week) after they rejected me in the first batch.

@nchung4: Thanks for the info. It’s nice to know somebody else sent theirs around the time I did. Good luck in your appeals! :P

Haven’t checked mine since today, but mine is now updated just like yours clamfest. Program updated today! I wonder if the waitlist people are getting back their decisions now.

@Hopey: Good point! I really hope it doesn’t take a month or more to hear back from the appeals…I have a pending cal grant that’s waiting for me to confirm that I’m transferring
-_-

Are you guys just gonna wait for the e-mail? Or check daily like in April?

Ain’t nobody got time to check daily! Finals time is approaching haha. Well I don’t want the added anxiety in my life from constantly thinking about it, so I’ll just wait until one of us appealers gets a response back.

The appeals aren’t out yet?
The SIR is due next Saturday! What in the world?

@kb4692: they said we would hear back 3-4 weeks from May 15th I guess. The website says “The majority of reviews will be completed by late July/early August.” I’m hoping so bad that’s the worst case scenario and that we actually all hear by early June…I guess we would SIR later :/

Anyone know much about the Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP)? Don’t really want to pay over $200 for something I don’t really require.

Any other waitlisters having trouble getting their transcripts through to UCI Admissions? I sent one out the beginning of May and they told me they haven’t received it although I double checked the address and made sure the school sent it. I sent them out a second one and same issue!

I don’t want to be dropped from consideration over things that aren’t really in my control. This is ridiculous.

Question to those who have been accepted and have SIR’ed to UCI.

It says I need to to send them my final high school transcripts. I graduated a few years ago do I really have to do this? What do I ask for when I go to my high school?

@gamer142 Yes you really need to send your high school transcripts. It doesn’t matter when you graduated, you still need to send them. You just tell them you need official transcripts. I had to order mine through my high school’s district but I graduated long ago. Just call the school and tell them you need to order an official transcript.

@Staar987

Interesting…alright thanks. I’ll call soon

Any wait lister here? Only 2 weeks left to know if I got accepted or not im neutral but I hope I get in…waitlisting sucks! Ima poli sci major by the way anyone here anything yet?
