Huh… I thought that you waitlisters would all find out by the 1st? Guess I was wrong. Still to all of us waiting, don’t give up hope! Good luck to all, and I think most of you are on summer break now, lucky. To us UC students, Ace those finals!

yea man ace those creepy finals! HAHAHA

@Hopey11 The admissions counselor said we’ll be notified by June 15. Any waitlisters hear anything yet?

@nikname

nope havent heard anything yet. Admissions counselour told me the same thing. Hopefully at least some of us will get in. It looks like almost no freshman waitlisters did

@RolledUp Yeah I don’t see the point of a waitlist if they’re going to add a lot of people onto it.

Well I’m calling the office tomorrow about appeals for those interested who are appealing. I called April 30th and the girl told me it would take 3-4 weeks, if not sooner, as soon as I sent my appeal. They received my appeal May 3rd so it’s been past the 3-4 week mark. I’m worried that if they don’t take all the waitlisters, they’re not even going to look at appeals, and considering my situation, I’d rather that not happen lol. Not to mention, why the hell would we have to wait until mid-late July to hear back. That is just WAAAAAAAY too long =/

whoa, july sounds pretty late…

clamfest better get in or we will riot

So I called and NOW she tells me what I had been suspecting this whole time:
-it didn’t matter how early I sent in my appeal, they weren’t going to process it until the 15th of May
-all appeals are going to be looked at AFTER all the waitlisted kids hear back
-At best, I can hear back late June mid July, of course depending on when they look at it

The only GOOD thing is that they said regardless of how many waitlisted kids get in or don’t get in, they will still look at appeals and consider them

I’m so frustrated. How can somebody who did TAG and should have heard back in April, now have to wait AT BEST until July for an answer. It’s crazy because they SAW on my app that I explained the class, yet they disregarded it and just assumed I was lying and rejected me. Ugh oh well. The good thing that came from this phone call, is that I talked to the same person as last time so AT BEST I refreshed her memory which may help my case because she can try to push mine forward? She kept apologizing about the whole thing so hopefully I got the sympathy factor going ahahaha.

Yo waitlisters, keep us updated when you hear back!

@clamfest thanks for the info! And hope we all get in eventually!!

Hey dudes, I just got an e-mail from UC Riverside telling me they’re offering me to apply for the fall 2013 year and they’re gonna waive the UC app for me and I just gotta choose a major. Did anybody else get this e-mail??? Seems weird…

@clamfest I was accepted to UCR but decided not to go maybe they have under admitted students. I would call admissions but I heard your story and saw that you did not have a backup so I would jump on it mean while you wait from UCI. And don’t be upset about the tag honestly is a blind promise I have friends with 3.9 gpa who were on tag for UCLA and did not get in. I don’t know why they have that program if they are not going to fulfill it.

@a21rod: Yeah for sure I’ll do it as a back up, but it worries me why they would notify me about that saying they and “the other sister campuses agree” I had a good academic year. I never applied to UCR so SOMEBODY must have given them the app? At least it’s what I think. I mean, I wouldn’t expect this from any UC except Merced so it’s just odd to me lol.
Yeah TAG is a sham. I’m just more upset since they didn’t BOTHER to ask me to confirm about the UCSC class. A simple e-mail would suffice and I would have immediately sent the correct documents. Ah well. I’ll wait around and see what happens. Where did you get accepted to?

I got the UCR email too

@RolledUp: did you get waitlisted from UCI? Or rejected?

@a21rod, your friends didn’t get into UCLA with “TAG” because there is no UCLA TAG. I’m assuming you’re referring to TAP, which is not a guarantee admission like TAG is.

@clamfest

I was waitlisted

@clamfest

still waiting and hoping!

still nothing so far?

Nothing yet ill called admissions they said they know on that day
