UCI Transfer 2014 decisions

They take a few days to open it, especially right now when admissions are over.

They will NEVER open it. I sent two while admissions was going on and even until now its still unopened.

@drew26 that was my assumption as soon as a week past and they went unopened.

Hey, have you guys gotten your packet in the mail? Just wondering… Thx.

UPDATE: ah, I see we’re not alone. Although not sure any of the campuses want to deal with checking for SIRs at this point. And anyhow, a person can change their mind.

Ha, @k4201505, we’re all natives and we write Cali all the time. We don’t say it, though. But don’t ever say or write Frisco!

@lindyk8‌

I haven’t received any packet. I already declined my offer from UCI but it would be nice to receive something in the mail from them.

Haha…I actually hear Frisco a lot!

@ocnative where did you SIR? My daughter is going to UCLA in Communications.

@lindyk8
Nice! I SIR’d to Berkeley for Political Science.

I want my package! Who cares if I’m not going. I want a collection of acceptances :-)

So it seems like most freshmans got accepted off of the waitlist…does this mean transfers have a good chance?

@drew26 You have a better chance of being struck by lighten than getting accepted to UCI off the waitlist. Just look at last year’s transfer statistics.

You’re still on this thread? HAHAHAHA and we’ll just see man lol
I read somewhere that if many freshmans got in off of the waitlist then it looks good for us. @CollegeDropout1‌

@moniiique‌ for the message center, they have up to 14 days to reply.

@HappyRabbit123‌ thanks! I finally got a reply today! (:

Ah darn we cant sign up for discover uci anymore:/

@Mike194, I know right! I checked like 2 days ago, and it said full. Maybe we should call the admissions office tomorrow and see what they will say?

I know it’s like last minute, but I am still down to drive down there or take a train lol. But, if the sign up is closed, I guess I can’t go.

Yes! Should we call them today?? @bhav007‌

@Mik194‌, yes! Let’s both call. It’s tomorrow morning!

EDIT: Crap, I just called and the guy said that we can’t do anything about it if it’s full. He said we can still your the campus, but we can’t be apart of the other events that day. I asked if there can be space available , and he said that there could be a standby list, but it’s usually a low chance that ppl get off the standby list. Also, I’m located the bay area so I wouldn’t want to risk driving 7 hours for nothing. I was really hoping to be a part of those events. I guess I have to tour the campus sometime after my finals then (which don’t have all the informative events going on discover UCI day :/).

Mike194, you should still call and see what they say lol

Hmm okay ill call! I live 30 mins away so maybe ill stop by. Also theres a transfer day sometime in june or july so we can go to that too :slight_smile: @bhav007‌

@Mike194, the thing is, I’m pretty much leaning towards Davis. I just wanted to go check out UCI incase I’ll be convinced lol :). Maybe it was too extreme of thinking of driving 7 hours on the day before the event. But, I might check out the campus tours on the 26th (if there is one and UCSD campus tour as well, on the 27th if there is one). I’m wait listed for UCSD, but I might as well check it out if I make a trip to UCI. There is like a campus tour every weekday, so I’m pretty sure they’ll have some on the last week of May. I’m currently busy with classes and stuff, and if I make a trip to UCI and UCSD, that would at least require 2 days.

The reason I was thinking of going to Discover UCI day was because I knew it would be more informative than just a campus tour. But, since the Discover UCI sign-up is closed, I have to just settle for regular campus tours.
