I was offered admissions to UCI after the UCI housing app deadline. I filled out the app and submitted as soon as possible. I am just worried because I really want on campus housing for the experience. I am 18 years old and am still wanting the experience of dorm life. I just want to know who else is in the same situation. Also, I wanted to know if anyone from past years went through the same thing I am, and if they got housing. Or if anyone submitted the housing app late an got off the wait list. HELP MEEEEE!!!!

Wow. We’re identical. 18 year old UCI transfers without housing. I called UCI and they directed me to [University of California Irvine Off Campus Housing Service - Home](http://offcampus.housing.uci.edu/) and suggested the Ivies-walking distance from campus and full of students. Hope that helps.

On a side note-how’d you end up like this?

I applied and was placed on the wait list. They accepted me after the housing app deadline was due so that’s how ended up in this situation. What do you think are chances will be for getting off the wait list? They directed to me that web page as well.

Oh ya-when I called they mentioned a ton of people getting admission after the housing deadline. Chances? I have no idea. They told me it’s extremely unlikely, but that was me. Do you live in the area? I’m coming from the bay area and have no idea what I’m doing.

I meant your age. Skip a few grades, CHSPE? CCC? Honestly do you think I’d ask you exactly what you just stated? I don’t come by people like this often. It’s interesting.

I’m coming from the bay area too.

I had some AP scores and I started community college right after graduation in the summer semester. And I also went to two community colleges at the same time, so that really gave me a lot of credits.

Cool. I dropped out of junior high, took a few years off(long story), got the chspe at 16, AA in psych at 17, and got IGETC certified just last quarter at foothill. Not a day at highschool, so it’s fairly important for me to get that “college experience.”

Yeah, I really want the college experience as well.

Just typing this so that the forum can go back to the first page so maybe someone could help me.
