Hi, I was on assist checking out transferring to UCI, and i found this
ASSIST Report: DAC 07-08 UCI GE/Breadth Articulation Agreement
Do i follow that (GE/Breadth Requirement) or IGETC?
I am planning on studying Economics.
Thank you

One word: IGETC

Actually, clears throat in a pretentious manner that would be five words: Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum.

Lol.

I have too much free time on my hands >.<

yeah buddy, igetc w/ assist

breadth is for sci majors and the likes

bear in mind that UCI isn't as demanding as ucla and berk in terms of meeting all major requirements, notably math

what i mean by that is that u only really NEED the first two calc classes listed in ASSIST, not necessarily the later 2 to get into the Econ major

thanks guys
additionally, for econ their equivalent to math 4 (math for economists) is equivalent to 3 additional math classes at my school, up to linear algebra. I really do not want to take 3 extra ones to equal one of theirs... If i dont take those three will it look bad upon me?

THanks

anyonee?

bumpp

too soon bro, 3 more hours

Captain: IGETC and as much Major Req as possible from ASSIST. Complete at least a year of Calculus and both Micro/Macro. You'll be admitted in no time....well...I did.

Thanks
If i were to be applying this coming fall, but had not takein the two calculus classes required, but took them before i transfered, would it look bad?
and how is a semester class factored in?
also has anyone thats been admitted in the econ major give me some stats??

Thanks!

check out the "I got into UCI" thread. a few econ majors have gotten in.
