Hello, I am currently indecisive about which college I should attend. My tuition is covered for all schools however i would still need to pay for room and board as well as any other expenses. I live close enough to UCR where I can choose to commute (about 15 minutes away) and about an hour away from both UCI and CSUF. If I choose to attend UCSB I’d have to live there and it’d be expensive. I’d have to take out loans in order to cover other costs. Is it worth taking out many loans each year to attend UCSB or even UCI or should I just stay close to home and commute? Is commuting from an hour away a bad idea? Should I just save money and commute instead of taking out thousands of dollars in loans or just go for it and pay it back after college? I hope to go to grad school as well so would it be better to save money and take out the loans when I need them for grad school. Please help me decide.
