UCI, UCSB, UCSD What's up with the wait

Is anyone yet to receive his/her decision for these schools? I think some acceptance notifications have been trickling in from ucsb and uci the past week-and-a-half or so, but UCSD is yet to release their third batch. For me, UCSB and UCI are taking too long. They might as well reject me now. The mere fact that they made me wait this long is enough bnes for me to decline their SIR if they decide to admit me.

Just on the first page...

I think TheIcon is well within his rights to start another thread concerning this subject matter. It may not last long, but it gives others a chance to vent their continued frustration. Most of this frustration stems from the fact that the UCs have such a wide window of releasing decisions (except Berkeley) and that as the month closes those who have not recieved their decisions know that they were more than likely rejected (I include myself a member of this elite few). After waiting so long, excited and dissapointed day in and day out it takes a toll on people.

To answer your question TheIcon, I have not received any notification from any school other than UCSC (4/3) and I heard that decisions for UCSD were suppose to be released yesterday, but those rumors just turned out to be wild conjectures. However, a lot of people are still gunning for this week as being crucial. All I know is that within 15 days we will all know where we stand, and I hope for all our sakes were standing on the right side of the line. Good luck.

I didn't hear back from anyone. My friend is still waiting on UCSC and UCR...

I got accepted to UCR
Waiting on UCI and UCLA <- whats taking so long uci uuuhg

My friend got rejected from UCSC already.

different friend didnt get accepted to UCI until just last week so acceptances must be trickling out

I'd check ucsd again. I checked at 8am and nothing!

Checked at noon and in! Finally have some reassurance!

Here are my stats if anyone is curious.

Pending: UCI UCLA UCB
accepted: UCSD

Major: econ/bizecon/biz admin haas
GPA: 3.8
missing a couple ucsd prereqs for econ.

Good luck to all! I know how grueling it is for those still waiting. This is the first Ive heard from anyone...

lol.....blah, just checked UCSD and nothing....

Congrats though!!! :-)

It's weird that there's such a gap between when everyone's accepted (or rejected as the case may be)...I got accepted to UCR a while ago...UCSD a few weeks ago, and UCSB a few days after that...I'm still waiting on UCB, though and I know what you mean...the wait is KILLING me!

I need to know if I get in to UCB before I make my decision cuz it's between SD and B...grrrr...

NoPlaceLikeHome, I just provided him with relevant information...wow, talk about blowing things out of proportion

(awaits next two paragraphs :D)

Well obviously my posts aren't appreciated so I don't feel very much like writing anymore.

Good day!

Is UCSD harder to get into than UCSB?

It is dependent upon the major, but generally yes.

Engineer major..
3.5 GPA

Still waiting on all my schools : UCI/SD. LA and berkley (still hasnt come out yet)

but damn uci and sd is taking forever. i think i got rejected
