I applied for aerospace engineering and got undeclared/undecided instead. Can I still get in? Why did I get undeclared? How do I switch it?
Please do check are undeclared in the school of engineering or in the school of undergraduate education? If you’re still undeclared in engineering please check this website: http://www.changeofmajor.uci.edu/CoM_Engr.html
If you’re undeclared in general, you’d be able to switch once all decisions are released starting from April 1st and through may but only to non-restrictive majors.
The following majors are restricted:
· Business Administration
· Dance
· Engineering – all majors
· Music or Music Performance
· Nursing Science
UCI accepts you into the university first and then into your major. If there is not enough slots in your major, you are placed into your alternate major or undeclared. Follow the instructions on the link given above. If you plan to switch to an impacted major, you will to follow that program’s instructions after you enroll and begin Fall quarter.
How hard is it to get into Computer Science from Undeclared/Undecided. I am taking Computer Science A, Calculus BC that will satisfy 2 out of 3 courses required to get into donald bren hall, if of course I score well (I know I will). This is according to the site mentioned by @Gumbymom, however my concern is that the site was last updated in 2012.
