UCI vs SJSU mech engineering

<p>Hey Im very undecided between UCI and SJSU for mechanical engineering. Ive rejected from other colleges so far and it seems like these two are my only choices. Can someone tell me about their program? </p>

<p>Im very hesitant about SJSU because of their community. I don't want that feeling of someone breaking into my car or robbing me. Anyway, I've heard that SJSU have a good engineering program but i just don't know how it is compared to UCI.</p>

<p>rejected from sdsu- forgot to do the supplemental admin lol
rejected from slo- didnt really want to go there. i kinda didnt want to sleep on my books instead of my bed.
accepted to SJSU- ehhh</p>

<p>havent heard back from UCLA, UCI, and UCSB..
i probably dont have a chance with LA and SB.</p>

<p>I can’t imagine that SJ is better than UCI. And OC is a nice place to live albeit expensive.</p>

<p>UCI is more known for their EECS & CS programs but going by prestige alone UCI would be better. SJSU is in silicone valley though so there’s a lot of internship possibilities there as well.</p>

@derangedcorgi what do you know about their mechanical engineering? EECS & CS is also good at SJ, i bet at UCI its a bit better.</p>
