I love love love love love UCI. I love the atmosphere, the school, the campus, the things to do, the people, the community but they don't offer my major. Or I hear the art program really sucks and they don't exactly offer design.

So my parents have convinced me to attend Davis. I've been to Davis before and was not too impressed but that was about two years ago. I dislike hot hot sticky weather. I'll miss the ocean. I'm not fond of cows. Plus, too many people from my high school will be going. It's a yearly trend at my school. It's about 2 hours from home.

I would like to major in Design and/or Communication, Media studies. Which of these two schools are better for my major?

thanks in advance.

Since UCI doesn't have majors in any of these disciiplines that I know of, then Davis should probably be your choice.

I'm assuming you haven't applied yet.

To be honest, if you wanted to do communications or media studies, I'd probably take a long look at USC.

I'm feeling exactly as you do, latusrectum! I've been accepted into UCI (art) and UCD (design major) and I'm still trying to figure out which school would be a better choice.
but then again, i've been accepted into USC as well for fine arts (BFA)...but the only thing is the cost of tuition.
Or should I go to an art school?

I really can't make my mind. help?

alicantekid, what's good about USC?

USC is very good at communications and media studies. Don't know how they are in fine arts.
