Really need help deciding where to go so please help me list the pros and cons of both schools!
I’m a first generation student so I honestly have no idea what I’m doing.
Major: UCI - Education Sciences & UCSB - communications
Ultimately, I want to be a teacher or education administrator so I want to know which school is better for me…
Please help!
Do you have an opportunity to tour the campuses? My daughter all throughout high school had UCSD as her dream school. But when she toured UCI last spring, she fell in love with the campus and felt it was a better fit for her. If you can’t tour, then YouTube the various campus videos to get a feel for them. Sorry, I don’t know anything about your major, but honestly, I don’t think where you graduate from matters with obtaining a job. Good luck!
Congrats on your admissions! I don’t know about the programs you are interested in, but it might be a good idea to ask if they can give you some data on job placement (what kinds of jobs; which employers; what fraction have a job when they graduate). You might also ask about student teaching / internships / what the process is for getting into the field you are interested in. Many schools have placement data for each major posted somewhere on line. And I like @UCIMomma’s idea of trying to find out more about the feel of the place where you will be spending the next 4 years.
