Students are allowed to express their opinions as they see fit as long as they don't personally attack people. These students are 17, their opinions are formed by rumours, hearsays, anecdotes, but that's still their opinions. Please do not take these things personally. It's also the general public opinion, wrongly or rightly, you can't change people.

Courtesy. At College Confidential, we expect discussion to be courteous even when disagreement may be vigorous. When writing your messages, please use the same courtesy that you would show when speaking face-to-face with someone. Flames, insults, and personal attacks will not be tolerated. It's fine to disagree with opinions, ideas, and facts, but always with respect for the other person. Also, note that messages express the thoughts of the writers, not the community, its owners, staff, or moderators.
Sorry I have been on CC since my baby was 2(in case you can tell it's sarcastic). What you just post is against personal attack, not against the general public opinion. You are feeling overly defensive because people make negative comments about certain school, I believe that is not the same as personal attack. Not only that I think you must have violated some rules here by sending personal email attacking people for posting their own opinion about a certain school.

Back to the ORIGINAL POINT (please stop arguing >__<), Blueduckie54367, I think you should go back to the two colleges or ask people from those colleges about it.

One thing I used to do research and get opinions on the different schools within UCSD when I first applied to UCSD is I used Facebook to message a LOT of students from UCSD to ask their opinions about the 6 different schools. Then along with the research I gathered from the UCSD website and the opinions of the student replies on Facebook, I made my choices. So I suggest you go on Facebook and ask students from both UCI and UCSD. The majority of students are typically VERY nice and will answer most of your questions. You probably shouldn
t ask them "UCI or UCSD?" because they
d be biased, but you should instead ask "How is social life in UCI?" or "How is social life in UCSD?" and they typically give you pretty honest and solid answers. And you can also make friends in the process, haha :)

Otherwise, you should go back and re-visit the school when they`re not taking finals (if you have that opportunity again) and form your own opinions. :)

Thanks...this has definitely been helpful...(interesting argument in the middle tho) but I appreciate the input.
