UCI vs UW Madison vs UDub Seattle

Hey guys!

I have been admitted to:

  1. University of California, Irvine
  2. University of Wisconsin, Madison
  3. University of Washington, Seattle

My major is computer science.
At UCI, I have received a direct admit to Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences.
At Wisconsin, I have received an admit to the College of Letters and Science.
At Washington, I have received an admit to the Pre-Science major.

Some factors to consider:

  1. I don’t plan on graduating from any of these, I will be trying to transfer to a top tier University for sure.
  2. The life at UCI seems horrible. (Commuter campus, Socially dead).
  3. UCI is not as well known Internationally as UDub or UW Madison and graduating from UCI gives me 0 respect abroad.
  4. UW Madison is extremely cold and I don’t feel like spending my whole college life there.
  5. Getting the CS Major at UDub Seattle is stupidly hard.

Please advise.
Thanks.

@derprage hi, I am interested to hear your opinion since you had been there done that!
I got accepted by similar schools as you did (UCI wailisted :(. But I am more looking at Udub and Wisc. What did you end up picking? And how was your decision process to reach to your decision? Thanks and much appreciated.

If CS is important to you, UCI or Wisconsin have a much lower barrier into the major than Washington has.

^ It isn’t (kinesiology).
