We lost this war, show’s over.

freak you uci

freakin’ UCI wants to tease waitlisted people that they’ve already got the result for the past few days. I am so angry with their apathetic attitude. well here I go UCSB

@dyehard same here man. UCSB will definitely be a better college experience for us

Honestly, why does it take so long just for waitlisters. I’m pretty sure all the other UC’s have told their waitlisters their decision. But UCI is being such a giant tease that I can’t stand it anymore.

Yeah, we’re not getting in.

So there is no hope just because of what she said?? :(

@Loading0 they’re stalling. We all know that they have the SIR number ready by May 2nd, and by them not telling us, it is obvious that they do not have enough room for us. If you look at past years, the people who successfully get in find out in the beginning of May and the people who get rejected find out by the middle of May. I guess that they think by telling us later, they are giving us a few more days of hope.

@dyehard @AirUpThere95 same guys, guess it’s UCSB as well

Yup, no hope.

Good luck on your future endeavors, guys.

@Loading0 where are you headed?

Good luck to everyone on their future colleges. Hopefully UCI can give us the official results soon although it’s fairly obvious what it’s gonna be…

You never know if UCI is trying to figure out which of the waitlisters can be accepted and it is just taking longer than they expected. We don’t know if they have the all or nothing policy for sure, it may just be a coincidence that it has happened that way the last two years. Don’t lose all hope over one girl’s tweet.

I really think that they have a few open spots and they are deciding if they should fill them or not and if so, who should fill them. They’re probably taking their budget and the academic achievements of the waitlisters into consideration and deciding what to do

Think about it if UCI already had the amount of people that SIR’D and they didn’t need the waitlist individuals they would’ve already sent the email saying sorry no space , but it’s clearly not the case just yet . You can’t just trust one chick’s tweet .

Come on guys!! it’s not over till it’s over…

@AirUpThere95

Im either headed to Cal Poly Pomona or Community College. Probably Cal Poly Pomona since I just took a math placement test there.

And about that tweet, I believe it since I already know UCI is stalling. How that girl must’ve known is that UCI made some announcement on the campus apartments that they will be filled next year due to the number of SIR’s coming in. But those are just my two cents on the topic. Anyone have a spare 98 cents?

Edit: But either way I will still hope that we all get in. There is still some fire left of this in me.

I was so sad after seeing that tweet, thanks for bring up my sprits aha now only if UCI won’t crush those spirits…

Well we were told when we accepted being on the waitlist that if we were accepted we might not get housing. The housing might be full, but they might still have room for students. We just aren’t guaranteed the housing if we are accepted which is just fine with me.

In regards to that tweet, I would take it with a grain of salt. From what I’ve seen, there is actually leftover on campus apartment housing because CV is allowing third years to live there next year since they had quite a bit of extra space. If there really wasn’t enough room in the dorms, CV would be going to the first years and not the third years. I might be wrong, but try not to lose hope until you know it’s over. Good luck!

@Loading0 she was admitted but she is probably having trouble getting housing because all of the spaces are full. And to the rest of you guys, you can be optimistic if you want but it’s just gonna hurt even more when the rejection comes. Just be realistic and think logically
