Accepted, although my stats are pretty clearly in acceptance range so I'm not sure if they'll help

GPA: 4.3 W
SATs: 2360, 790, 780, 750
Lots of EC's, ELC, in state

But a friend of mine got in with a score in the low 1900's and a 3.6 W GPA.

Don't second guess yourself yet. A lot of people didn't get notification yet. At this point in the game, just wait for the letter to come. Good luck!

WOWWWWWWWW. i just calculated my ELC stuff.... im ranked 21st out of 517, i think it went down to 511... the 4% cut off is at 20.XX rank... so i dont get it do i? :(

1930 SAT
700 math iic, 700 US History, 670 chemistry
4.5 Uc weighted GPA

accepted so far:
UCLA, UCI, UCR (full ride w/honors)

nope... but its my only hope. i only applied to csuf csulb, and uci... i dint plan on going to a UC till the last 15 days.. conjured up good essays too.. the thing is, im graduating at 16, so maybe thats what made me so unaware of college, soph and junior year i got 4.0 without APs... then at the end of junior year i realised i needed some APs.. and im taking 3 now including an HP... my GPA has risen since then, (like 4.07) which shows that i can easily cope with the workload, if the UCs see that then i'll get in.. i shouldhave applied to many more UCs but i was pretty stupid. and to me ive pretty much gone down hill since coming to the u.s., i went to an extremely prestigious secondary school in s.e. asia, (ranked 2nd, pretty much 25/300 in year 13 went to top IVY leagues etc) i was about to go into the "advanced programme, pretty much all APs, but i came here, and my counselor just gave me some random schedule, and i didnt know anyhthing so i just accepted.. freshman year was ****, then soph/junior it shot up. so i screwed up pretty bad.

i even had the thought of stayig back a year at h.s. (meaning i could raise all my stuff, prolly enter a top uni, but thats wasting a year, and is pretty dumb as well)

a couple of my friends are still waiting on UCI. All of them are qualified too. just wait and see what happens. i think you have a good shot. I hope you wrote about coming to America and graduating at age 16 in your essays...thats the kind of stuff that will get you in

actually i didnt... i didnt think that was a valid excuse for anything, ofcourse im younger and all, but i didnt think they see that as something really significant , academically anyway. sounds more like an excuse if i talked about it

I got accepted today with horrid stats... this is proof that can do it!
