I am having problems choosing my university::
so basically i am offered a place at : UCL, Edinburgh or U of T for biomedical sciences
and for me the big factors are:

reputation + continuing to graduate degreesp-- which would give me the most advantage?

And are faculty, or university reputations more important? (because U of T has a higher ranking in my faculty but UCL has a higher overall ranking..)

The University life: i have only visited London and never been to Canada or edinburgh/scotland.. any reccomendations? :)

well UCL is a 3 year degree and the other two are 4 year degrees (which is quite significant in terms of international student fees i guess..)

Any comments, suggestions, opinions are welcome :D thanks!

Uoft with your eye closed…Canada is secure for job prospects and easier to get into grad school in the states…Ranks highest amongst all others you got into

UCL, hands down. Edinburgh also good. U of T isn’t all that prestigious due to a lack of selectivity and it has grade deflation that will kill your graduate prospects.

Don’t worry about ranking, but if you do, UCL is fourth by QS.Again, they’re silly, but still. Keep in mind U of T’s ranking is inflated by it’s size (close to 90k students). As far as faculty quality goes, it’s hard to say, but good luck getting access to U of T’s best profs, as you have class sizes of 1200+.

Subjective. Though I have friends at UT who hate it, and also some who love it. It is a commuter school, so the party scene won’t be great. Toronto is a good city. London is London. Not sure about Ed’s.

jimmycanuck, you’re replying to a four year old thread. I would imagine that the OP made their decision long ago.

I know, sorry, Devansh bumped it before me. Still, good to have the info if someone searches for a similar question.
