8% acceptance for economics. I just died a little inside

Wow acceptance rates dropped across the board.

they just updated 2009

wow 8% for econ? thats crazy

I think what’s even more shocking is how much less applicants there were for Econ… 261 down from 689. Less qualified applicants = lower acceptance rate, as average GPA of admits stayed relatively the same at 3.84.

i think they switched econ with econ/international studies, the numbers don’t match up with last year with the applicant totals

therealist, I actually just saw that. That has to be it.

either that or more people got interested in econ/international studies this year

nah, econ is way too popular of a major to drop 400 applicants.

i don’t think they updated all the data yet because it says there are only 5 math/econ majors that applied and i know there are at least 10 on this board alone. Theres no way econ applicants dropped by freaking 400 either.

Math/Econ with 5 applicants? yep, I’m convinced there’s a lot of errors here.

Ah, posted at the same time.

Haha, I saw the 5 math/econ major number of applicants and thought “no way!”

and here i thought Math/Econ was going to be an impacted major this year lol

yes there are soo many errors at the moment. it says only 1 person applied to applied math and had a gpa of 0.00 and they got rejected… lol.

i can’t believe the average GPA for engineerings went up that much.

Omg, after checking the stat, I couldn’t believe how I got admit from UCLA. My GPA is even below avg. GPA for applicants for my major.

when will the stats on individual majors come out

^ Stats by major are already up.
