UCLA 2023 Waitlist Thread

Has anyone received a denied letter from the waitlist yet? UCLA is still lingering out there.

I’m still waiting too

I wish they would just send a rejection letter. This glimmer of hope needs to be extinguished for good. Committed to UCSB but still hoping…

My son (Asian, In-state) is a National Merit Finalist, 1550 SAT, 4.7 GPA, lots of involvement in city government, and over 400 volunteer hours in a program he founded. Still on the waitlist for UCLA for Computer Science. I have a year younger son whose top choice is UCLA and he also got a 1550 (planning to retake this) on his SAT and 800 on his Math II. Currently his GPA is 4.7. Although unsure, hes thinking about going into Bio. What are we lacking? I heard many people got a lot help from professional counselors and we didn’t. Is there any advice to help my younger son? We are really hoping for UCLA! Good luck to everybody.

Your Younger son should be fine, CS is just really difficult in comparison to other majors

Also I was told by their office, that all decisions will be released early June

@Taneen: Some info regarding CS at UCLA.

UCLA CS ADMIT RATE 2018: The admit rate for CS for the fall of 2018 is 8.2%. The average CS act score is a 35 and the SAT is a 1550 average.

Wow! The average score is really high.

UCLA have included an update in the Waitlist FAQ page under the Q, “When will I hear if I’m admitted from the waitlist?” The update is - “June 1 update: We are still processing our waitlist and hope to have final decisions available soon. Thanks for your patience.” I didn’t see this until now.

Anyone heard back this week yet?

Nope. Still refreshing Decision Letter, hoping it would be a rejection so that we could go on with our lives.

No doubt whatsoever that it will be a rejection, Ive finally come to accept it I’m graduating tomorrow and still nothing, just gonna wait on the official confirmation and move on with my life, congrats to those accepted off the waitlist and to those that will take the final spots, I’m out✌?

It now says on the site that all decisions have been made and everyone will be notified on a rolling basis, so I’m guessing rejections will roll out soon lmao

No, it still says not all decisions have been made for me

Oh ya I read it incorrectly

It’s simply incomprehensible that it’s June 15th now and I’m still on UCLA’s waitlist without any decision notified. The portal still says not all decisions have been made. I’m already fully committed to another school and all I want for UCLA to do is at least reject me, instead of abandoning my application in some utter void.

Just logged onto the portal this morning and saw the regret letter after two months of waiting. Didn’t get any email about it yet. It sucks but at least it’s finally over and I can move on. Good luck to all

I also logged on right now and saw my rejection letter. I was expecting it after this long but it’s honestly disappointing that they waited so long and gave hope only to reject us after so long.

anyone else’s portal still say they are on the waitlist?..mine still does

@sunflxwer8 same here!

The letter says “We have completed our selection for freshman admission and regret that we are unable to offer you a place off of our waitlist for the Fall Quarter 2019.”. They probably already sent all letters out or will send them soon since they said they have completed their selections.
