Hey, I was hoping I could get an input on my odds of getting accepted into UCLA (or any other UC’s). I’m currently a junior in highschool,
here’s a little about me:
- OOS student.
- My GPA is not very good. currently a 3.42 unweighted, 3.68 weighted. I have taken 10 AP classes so far and plan to take more. However there has been a rise of imporvment over the years and I still have 2 years to increase it.
- I have not yet taken the sat or act but I study for them regularly. -Currently ASB Secretary for my school and plan to run for ASB president my senior year.
- I'm a part of honors society, key club, mentor ignite, we act and pottery club. I am also a student of Advancing Leadership Youth, a contracter with my school district. We plan a major community event at the end of our year but also learn skills like networking and employability by working with local major companies like Starbucks and Weyerheuser.
- I have around 300 hours of community service so far
- I compete in girls wrestling, won 2nd in sub-regionals and qualified for state. I plan to place in state this year and will be captain my senior year. I have also competed in world tournaments.
- I am the reigning 2 time washington state overall ladies champion, 6 time washington state overall junior champion, and the northwest regional overall ladies champion in an action shooting sport. I also am 2nd in the nation and second in the world for this sport, with over 800 competitors. I am also sponsord by 1 major gun manufacturer as well as 2 local. -I tryed out for the boys basbeball team, for fun ,made varsity and really enjoyed it. I was also captain of the cheer team. (This was 7th and 8th grade however!)
- I really enjoy hiking and playing piano.
I’m looking into either nursing, Psychology or chemistry. Although this could very well change entirley.
I’m absolutley in love with california and it is my dream to go to a college in the southern area. Although UCLA is my number one choice, I’m looking into UC Irvine, California State University Los Angeles or possibly Cal Poly Pamona.
I’m not sure of my chances with the UC’s but I would appreciate any input you may have!
