sandkicks - I went to royce hall, powell library, bunche hall, ackermann hall and the dorms (the ones where dogwood are).

Oh, and you'll get a kick out of this: they are having a 25% off sale in front of ackermann. Have fun with it.

cristobal, what was ur gpa

i dropped a non pre-req or IGETSI course as well, will they revoke my admission, anyone know about this?

brandon,

Are they still having the 25% off sale tomorrow (Saturday)? I need to pick up a sweater ASAP! I want to represent UCLA!!!

mcajon,

Report any grade changes ASAP!

wow that would be awesome brand. tomm is the book fest meaning huge crowds.

3.14 mechanical engineering

Now i gotta make a hard decision, UCLA or Cal Poly Slo

That is an easy one. UCLA for sure! You are lucky to get in their engineering program, the average GPA for the admitted students for engineering last year was about 3.80. Don't waste that luck!

zer0: Cal Poly SLO is a good school but nowhere near UCLA in terms of reputation...pick UCLA!!!

Most people like Cal Poly because they are very hands-on. There's a lab to accompany almost every courses you take. If this appeals to you, you might want to consider Cal Poly Slo. Otherwise, choose UCLA.

"To hold your place in the Fall 2006 entering class, you must submit an advance registration deposit of $100.00. This deposit is non-refundable."

Darn, $100 is too much for me!

You'll have to hold off on that UCLA sweater now. :)

lmao! You got that right.

nikkei, I thought you were all about UC Berkeley! Yeah, I think it's a weekend sale. Warning: most of the stuff I saw wasn't that appealing. A lot of the shirts were XL - it appeared as if they were items ackermann was trying to get rid of. Anyhow, a visit to UCLA is always worth it.

And yeah, that $100 deposit... ouch! You CAN'T send in two SIR's - you'll screw yourself over. Monday... wow. I think I'm going to commit to one UC and then wait for Cornell University (mid-June).

my gpa is 3.74... but i applied for latin american studies, which is a bit easier to get into. plus i have extensive experience in latin america. i basically molested that in my essays.

nice. congrats

do UCs prefer that we complete our IGETC and major prep courses together..mixed throughout community college...

or can we get all the IGETC over with, and then start doing major prep in our last semesters? or do they want igetc and major prep mixed in our schedules throughout college..

ilovecalifornia, it doesn't really matter, as long as you finish your IGETC and have some adequate major prep work.

Myself, I did a lot of prep work in my second year, and this year was very nearly all IGETC. I don't know if I got in yet, but some of my friends are following the same route as me, and a I know a few of them got accepted to LA.

i think having igetc done by the spring of ur transfer year is good enough, b/c thats the only thing u're asked re: igetc on the app. for competitive majors, u wanna have as many major prep done by the time u apply.
