UCLA accepted students' event?

I remember seeing several posts about an accepted students' event at UCLA last year but none of the materials my D has received so far mention one this year. Has anyone else heard anything? Did invites arrive at some later date? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

Last year my D received an invite a few weeks after the acceptance letter.

Thanks! Did she go to the event? Do you remember when it happened roughly?

She did go to the accepted students orientation day. I am not sure of the exact date, but seem to recall it was around the end of April, beginning of May. At any rate it was obviously before the final decision date. It was a very interesting day and included discussions and Q&A with both staff and current students.

I just found, from older posts, that the accepted students event last year was on 4-17-2009. Hope that helps.

Hum. If it happens on the same middle of April weekend this year, it would conflict with one of her other accepted student days. Of course. Well, I guess decisions are the name of the game at the moment.

I just tried calling UCLA but was put into phone limbo with no one answering. I wanted to find out, also, if there was going to be an Admit Day this year for admitted students. If they will have one it has to be either April 10 or April 17. On April 24, UCLA has the huge L. A. Festival of Books which takes over the entire campus. And that’s the last weekend before SIRs are due.

We just got the invitation on Saturday for an event on April 17.

It just so happens that UCLA TFT is having Elektra that day! If you would like to see a production by the program, and you are interested in seeing how they do classical theatre, then check it out:

April 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th at 8:00 PM, April 17th at 2:00 PM
