((gpa+sat scores)+100000/(money parents make)+poor immigrant score50+(URM score)^2-engineering) random number between .1 and 500= screwed up admissions process

plug ur own numbers in and see what u get

some of you arent handling the rejection very well. "100000/(money parents make)+poor immigrant score*50+(URM score)" thats like telling me i got in because im an immigrant...although i'm more like middle-low class than poor. believe it or not, UCLA rejects many qualified URM's. i guess i just feel offended because a lot of you are implying i didnt deserve to get accepted.

if your mexican or black (minorities)

i'd say u'll get into ucla with at least 1150

no joke!

no, i know URMs that got rejected with scores in the 1300s and 4.0+ gpa's with a tough course load

my friend is latino and got in early to yale but was rejected at UCLA

people at my school, who take the MOST rigourous course work, my school offers about 15+ AP exams) got rejected. they had WELL over 4.0 gpas over 1400 sats and activities and got rejected. WHAT ON EARTH IS UCLA LOOKING FOR?

"WHAT ON EARTH IS UCLA LOOKING FOR?"

people. not bookworms.

genuine and unique extracurricular activities (that you'll continue on in college... since vast majority of ucla students participate in EC's).

diversity in many forms, not just racial or ethnic.
