UCLA Admission Surprise

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I got a letter today from Hendry Samueli School of Engineering today. It was in a small enveloped and I also had a heart attack when i saw it. I thought it would be a rejection letter. </p>

<p>When I opened it, it says
.... blah blah blah ....
"Your academic achievements have placed you among the outstanding applicants for the major of Computer Science and on behalf of HSSEAS, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that the Faculty of HSSEAS has recommended your admission"
....blah blah blah
"More information of you acceptance will be contained in a formal letter of admission from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools (UARS) in early to mid May."</p>

<p>Is it safe to assume I got in ? Anyone else got this letter ?</p>

<p>I still don't know if I should take this as an acceptance but this indicates towards it:</p>

<p>"More information about your acceptance will be contained in a formal letter of admission from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools (UARS) in early to mid May."</p>
