apHELP: dont let it get you down. trust me, before this, i thought i was a failure. i felt like i was getting rejected everywhere. just wait, you’ll get it.

Spacedog, I was rooting for you. If it’s any consolation, my other son’s friend was rejected from UCLA and admitted to Cal Berkeley Spring 2009. Don’t give up hope. You will end up where you should be.

Follow this link. It applies to any school: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/stanford-university/621031-rejected-stanford-youll-live-richard-shaw.html.

Tell me again how to access financial aid? I went to the link, put in the student id number but where do you get the password?

bobmom,
Thank you very much for your insight into checking Regents Scholar. It can’t be more hidden. My son is also accepted with Regents Scholar.

Rejected :(

Just to clarify, 4,690 available spaces means that they only have room for 4,690 people in their campus. They normally admit much more than that because they expect other people will be attending other institutions and turn down the admissions offer from UCLA.

Assuming there’s a 20% admit rate this year, that means 11,400 out of 57,000 were admitted.

Ryanone - did you set up your account? I got to the financial aid section from the congratulations letter, but I had set up an account before that.

Busy - I’m glad that it worked that you could find it.

Congratulations to your son!
