UCLA Admissions Acceptance/Rejection Date

8% of acceptance? that’s unbelievable…

do they count those who were admitted but chose not to enroll?

it’s more like 20% acceptance soundwave; they accept more than they can take in because they know some people will decide not to go to UCLA

Accepted w/ Regents
The 4690 figure is how many they expect will matriculate; the actual ACCEPTANCE percentage is probably around 20%.

And I do believe the UC system places heavy emphasis on grades and SAT scores, so even one low score could do it…as they say, very few ECs can make up for great grades and scores.

Grats YeloPen! Me too!

/high-five

Anyone rejected with 4.1+ weighted UC GPA and 2200+ SAT?

rejected with 4.5 UC, 2040 sats

@heytherek: wow… I am so sorry :frowning: that’s insane that they rejected you…

rejected with 4.4 UC, 2000 SAT, 2340 SAT II

silverfang i didnt get +2200 but i did get a 4.3 and 2130, rejected as well

heytherek and ranka that’s crazy

How were your ECs?

man…my EC’s is (what i think) the strongest part of my application. With the solid gpa and sats, i thought my EC’s would really help me out…but i really don’t know anymore. Some of the people i know have worst SAT’s ECs and gpa, applying in harder majors that got in over me :(

Same here, although with a higher SAT/lower UC GPA. My ECs/leadership were pretty outstanding IMO. Which school did you apply to?

rejected with 4.5 UC and 2160 SAT :</p>

Oh man…at this point, im just gonna hope for usc and cal.

Still feels pretty bad but I can only imagine how it is for you 4 that recently posted. My ECs were my weak point but for you guys to have strong ECs and similar stats and still get rejected… ugh heytherek it may not mean much coming from me but I think you have strong chances to get into either cal and/or usc. After seeing these kinds of students not get in it really makes me think that it’s UCLA’s loss more than yours.

Did any of you take classes at the local community college at summer?

Because either I got lucky or they seem to look at how motivated a student is or my essay was actually a blast. I don’t know.

Hey guys many congrats to those who got in, and for those who didn’t, your stats are all incredible so I’m sure you will be off to some amazing schools next year. I am so surprised I got in after looking at everyone’s achievements here!

UC GPA: ~4.3, SAT: 2200, ACT: 33, 770 Math 2, 700 USH

Thanks spacedog. you got me feeling more hopeful and optimistic. hopefully we both make it to Cal

aw, most of you had really amazing stats :open_mouth:
i got accepted, but my SATs were only average, my ec’s were okay (no leadership positions though), my personal statements were alright (i honestly had no confidence in them D: ), etc. i think it was my GPA that helped me. i didn’t think i would get accepted at all, but i wanted UCLA soooo bad, i’m thankful. i was so shocked. i can’t believe many of you got 2000+ and still did not get in :l good luck though w/ the other colleges! :] hope for the best.

I got accepted with around a 4.15-4.33 UC GPA, I think pretty good EC’s (president of both Renaissance and LEO Club - community service), and 2200 SAT I, 710 Lit SAT II and below 700 other SAT II scores.
I know of a lot of people though who I was shocked didn’t make it. I’m starting to think that personal essays make waaaay more of a difference then some might think…
