When is it??? I know the Engineering School had one last Saturday, but I have searched the UCLA site, nothing, searched google, nothing, and received nothing in my mail packet...

Does anyone know when it is and if so, can you post the link.

Have fun.
Scroll down to UCLA - College Day

If you are lazy:

UCLA
April 2, 3, 69, 13, 14: College Days
Admitted students and their families will be invited to these events, where they can meet faculty and current students, tour the campus and residential community, and receive financial aid information.

I’m probably visiting on the 13th or 14th. :]

Can anyone who has gone to their tour before recently, for this year’s admit students, describe in detail what they talked about? Anything important or drastic enough to change opinions?

In my opinion, none of the speeches will sway you to come to UCLA right away. The campus tour is where you will find out (for yourself) whether the environment is for you. You’ll also find out how you can be involved in various activities (academic and socially) and get a small glimpse of what you’ll probably be spending the next 4 yeas doing if at UCLA. The rest of the presentations are to boost your self-esteem through statistics and extended welcoming.

I think that when you step on campus and see the student life, you will have a gut feeling whether the school is for you or not.

If you are still unsure, then make other campus visits and compare the experiences to make your decision.

I can’t really go to the campus anymore because of all the spots being reserved. I heard it was really beautiful and has a naturalistic environment. I guess it’s the only school I can choose then.

I also got none for Collge Day/Admit Day…
But people said that you check after you check your admissions on the sidebar where it says “Bruin Events” I dunno though :|

I went to College Day yesterday. They give you a general overview of the school - complete campus and housing tours, Q&A sessions with current students, and seminars based on your major. It’s definitely worth checking out. I’m pretty much convinced I’ll be going there next year.

You do have to RSVP and pay a $10 fee. I guess you could sneak in, but there’s tables of people with check-in lists. Lunch is included.

Bummer about that last part. I had all these pics done and then there was that last page. >.< But I suppose if you do manage to get a spot, be aware you would have to pay online after you choose the day. (When I was doing this, I was at school and ended up asking one of my teachers for his credit card. Talk about awkward.)

Is it possible to just show up? For some reason I was only invited to “Raza Day” which is really annoying because I’m not even Mexican. Seems like discrimination to me.

Anyway, I just want to go to regular UCLA intro day. I don’t care if I get lunch or not, just let me tour the dorms! Are they going to kick me out or something?

Ha ha sounds good. What really bothers me is that I wanted to RSVP but couldn’t. I’m only invited to Raza Day, not UCLA admit day. Not that I’m against raza day, but just because I put partially Brazilian on my app doesn’t mean I want to be segregated into the MeCha group. It seems very politically incorrect / almost racist IMO. Why can’t I just have the option to go to the regular admit day along with everybody else… I’m going to crash it LOL.
