UCLA admit day?

So strange that a good number of us cannot see this link. I emailed them earlier, hopefully they get back to me soon so I know why I’m omitted.

are you guys CC transfers? I think it might have to do with CC transfers…I don’t know.

Sorry, but can you define CC?

yes cc transfer here , cc=community college

oh, I thought it was a name of a college, but yes I’m also a community college student.

i say just call tomorrow and say you want to RSVP but you didn’t get the link. I think emails will take forever…

liek0806,

I tried calling, but I think the office was closed. I suppose I’ll just try again tomorrow.

Thanks for providing all the information.

same here, im not seeing anything on the links wtheck i wanna go!! D:

So I just called them to R.S.V.P. – She took down my name, phone number and asked which school I’m from. Everyone that wants to go, call them!

Hmmm, maybe it was a school specific event then? I attended LACCD schools.

I think it’s for their own preferences, nothing really to make out of it, but who knows. And I’m from SDCCD, in case anyone wanted to know.

I talked to the UCLA rep about this today (she was on our 95 degrees campus for “the transfer social”, poor lady). She told me it’s for “specific groups” but I can call and attend if I want. I don’t know what the hell she meant by that, I’m going to assume the vagueness relates to some sort of distinction they are making on ethnicity. I don’t know kids, sketch sketch sketch. What do you guys think?

Emm… perhaps it is just for AAP? I’ll try to ask my friend who transferred last fall if there was an actual admit day for all transfers before the orientation or not.

well i got aap too, and this is what it says for aap:
UCLA’s Annual AAP Transfer Scholars’ Day will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2009, from 9:00a.m. to 2:45p.m., in the Ackerman Union Grand Ballroom.

and the admit day is also taking place at ackerman union but in their 2nd floor lounge, and its from 1:15 - 3:00 P.M.

I still think it’s strange that only some of us can see the invite and most cannot.

djatucla,

Did you also receive an AAP invite?
