UCLA admits, did everyone get the college honors day invitation?

So does this mean that if we qualify (1400+ 4.0+ and we got the invitation) we can apply (and be definetely accepted to) the UCLA Honors college? This might make all the difference to me.

I didn't get an invitation either. These are my stats:

SAT I: 1460 (750 m, 710 v)
SAT II: 780 (us history), 720 (math IIc), 700 (writing)
Rank: 3/190 (my school is small yet quite competitive)
UC GPA: 4.35
LOTS of ECs. Speech/Debate, Science Bowl, Captain of Tennis Team, President of Key Club, Vice-President of CSF, Historian for Interact, lots of outside volunteer work

But whatever, at least I got in.

Is the honors day open for everyone who qualifies including all engineering majors?

No! It's only for those that attend the College of Letters & Science. I think engineering majors can apply to take some courses that are designated as honors.

It doesn't mean you automatically get into the program. you have to write a 250 word essay or something.......

hum 1440 sat 4.65 UC gpa + 720w,760molebio, 730 math iic decent ec's

Oh! Well that explains it, I was accepted for the college of Arts and Architecture. I feel dumb now, thanks.

my brother is in the engineering department at UCLA and he says that you first have to apply for the honors program (even if you were invited) and that practically no engineering major is stupid enough to apply for honors because theyre just going to kill themselves (the department is already hard and its super competitive, so why bother putting up with the extra work).....i got into UCLA as a bio major under the college of letter and sciences...still have to apply if you want to get in

Erlkonig....anyone can apply...as long as you write an essay and have good enough records...dont feel dumb....at least you got into UCLA

how do you apply?

So can anyone explain the honors program/college or point to a link?
