UCLA Admits Provisional Transfer Conditions

I have a question about the standard ones.

For example Both UCI and UCSD said maintain good academic standing and maintain a 2.0 spring semester and 2.7, 2.8 overall GPA respectively.

My friend told me UCLA requires you to maintain a 3.0 during spring semester, I have a feeling that might be off a little, considering UCI and UCSD both barely require 2.0. Anyone out there that has transfered to UCLA can give me a little info? Thanks.

Try the UCLA forum

I think UCLA and Berkeley are both 3.0

3.0 During Spring Semester or Overall?

no, for Berkeley- 3.0 for spring semester not overall
UCLA- it does not say a specific GPA but it just says maintain your GPA.

and maintaining your GPA would entail what??
Thanks for the UC Berkeley answer though, I did not know that.

it just says maintain your GPA(i guess it means your overall GPA.)

Are you sure???!!!

I'm averaging A's in all my classes bu I might get a B in my Stats making this spring's GPA 3.78.

My overall is 3.91

=/

worried.... I had the same impression as you when I read the note on the UCLA site.
plus my major is impacted...
=(
lol.

Hopefully the 3.0 thing is true.

wow 3.0 is hard...+ the fact that we have to maintain 3.0 during spring also means that they won't accept ppl with gpa less than 3.0....

You guys might want to double check berkeley because I remember last year the gpa was around 3.2. And for UCLA (last year) they want you "to maintain your gpa" which many though would be 3.0+.

i dont' think so, my friend got below a 3.0 in spring. she still went to ucla as a psych major

:( dont think ill be transferring anywhere since i got a 2.9 something this quarter.

comehere1234- im 100percent sure it's 3.0 for Berkeley!
