UCLA Admittance before 24th confirmed!

woot woot. I followed up a link from one of the earlier threads about STOMP, which is a UCLA conference/workshop for transfer students.

UCLA Undergraduate Admissions & Relations with Schools: STOMP

Stomp Conference

The registration RVSP was due on the 18th, but I signed up just an hour ago, and got a confirmation to go. On their registration application, they DO clarify that they have a workshop specifically meant for newly admitted students. This is on the 24th, Friday, so expect your admittance by then. Apparently, last year was the same, and that the decisions were released the day before the event.

so decisions are coming thursday… ok, back to work now. loggin off CC.

But if it’s rolling admissions, then wouldn’t only SOME people know by the 24th anyway? Crazy, crazy UCLA messing with our heads.

so when can we see the 2 column thing? and myucla? tomorrow morning? or evening?

hopefully, right? i’ve done my best not to check my ursa or myucla yet, but i’m hoping you guys do so that i have some sort of idea of when its coming…

Would it be worth it to go if I’m applying this fall? I RSVPed 2 weeks ago.
I feel that I know almost everything I need to know from lurking this site (lol) and would kinda waste my time sitting through workshops on what IGETC is etc.

Only thing to lure me there is free stuff (preferably UCLA gear like shirts). Otherwise, I’ll ditch it entirely and frolic with my UCLA friends and mooch their swipes to eat Rendezvous/Puzzles/B Caf.

thdenasaur why havent you checked myucla or ursa yet? so this means that if decisions come out on thursday the 2 columns should be up tomorrow night then since its 2 days before actual decisions, and myucla should be up wednesday morning.

^^^

And URSA should be updated 2 days before actual decisions because…

chesser, i’m trying to resist, in hopes it might feel better if i do get accepted. i’m dying here though, all this talk about fin aid summaries and all…

The two columns came out the same day official decisions were posted last year for transfer students…

Since its at least by the 24th i really hope its on the 23rd. Ill be away in oregon for a psychology convention all weekend starting the 24th >.<

thdenasaur I already know I could see my finaid summary if history proves to be correct, I am in. I really would hope that ursa and myucla update stuff earlier than official admissions so there are no surprises. I know some rather see the actual result, but I am more into getting it over with and done. I wish you much luck to you in getting accepted.

cheba, lots of people keep on saying that ursa gets the 2 columns 2 days before the real decisions come out so I don’t know.

I went through this process last year and looked at my post history.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/uc-transfers/498448-ucla-decision-ursa.html

Two columns came out on the 23rd, official decisions were released a few hours later that day.

ok, I guess this sucks. at least could you see your finaid summary cheba63? do you know when myucla is updated? that must be updated 1 or 2 days before the real decisions come out right?

I got in last year, saw my finaid and got two columns. I couldn’t find the actual date, but I believe myucla was updated before two columns, maybe by a couple days. But I think they might have fixed the myucla thing, as freshman this year were able to see it initially before decisions released, but then it was fixed so they couldn’t. That didn’t happen last year with transfers.

ehhh this is so frustrating haah i just feel like this will be another dissapointment

^^^

Again chesser, why must it be “updated 1 or two days before real decisions come out?”

oh ok, and what do you think of this ursa finaid theory this has never failed am I right? To everything I ve read, I haven’t seen anyone who has seen their finaiad and later on get rejected, have you? I actually hear more about people who can’t see it and get in which is pretty fair specially if the person has high stats.

supa ramga why dont you read what cheba is nicely saying? she is indicating that no, everyone is wrong the 2 column thing will probably be seen the day that the actual decisions come out.

Yes, finaid theory meant acceptance from everything I saw last year. And yes, plenty of people who couldn’t see it initially got it later on and were accepted.
