Hello Everyone!
I was admitted to UCLA as a pre-psychobiology major (Life Sciences) yesterday through an Appeal! I was insanely excited! I had a 3.63 GPA when I was admitted. I just finished this semester and received:
C in Ochem
B in Biology
A in Sociology
A in Biopsychology
which brings my semester gpa to slightly above a 3.0 and my overall GPA to a 3.5.
The problem is that I received a C in a major pre-req class (Ochem) and am wondering what my chances are?
Thank you!
Congrats on getting in on appeal. Too bad you got a C. I really can’t say because you were rejected, then got in, then got a C in a major requirement.
Thanks for responding @lindyk8 ! I mentioned having these headaches that would last the entire day that I had through the month of May (last round of exams and finals) and how I couldn’t see a physician until after finals due to my schedule. I really could not do anything without 1-2 Advil’s per day. I have the medical paperwork and am fine now but do you think this might help understand the drop in performance?
Yeah, if your appeal was about the headaches than that connects to the C. That’s a good advantage (so to speak).
Unrelated, but psychobiology seems really cool.
Good luck.
Don’t they give you a contract about how your supposed to perform in the Spring semester?
@anikom15 they do. But since I was admitted through appeal I did not get to see it until after the school year was over
@goldencub thanks man! Hopefully I get to keep it!
