UCLA Advertised Bed Sheets

Recently UCLA sent out a bed sheet offer that they endorsed. I thought I read somewhere a couple months ago that these bedsets were cheap and fell apart easily. Does anyone here have any experience with them or knowledge to how well they actually hold up?

i heard that too. is it really that hard to find sheets that fit if you don't order from the catalog?

garbage. goto target/bed bath & beyond/linens n things/kohls/mervyns/walmart/anywhere else.

its not hard to find at all. maybe in random months of the year, but around back to school time they'll be stocked up and easy to find. twin XL.

Those sheets are really terrible. Do not buy them. I know quite a number of people who bought them and regret it now.

I simply went to my local Bed, Bath, and Beyond and bought a comforter set with sheets. Generally these stores will carry the right size if you ask a clerk. If not you can always buy a slightly larger sheet and use that.

It is cheaper and you get better quality stuff.

Thanks for the quick replies guys!

I went to target and bought mine.

The bedsheets won't take up too much of our luggage I hope?

nah. unless you're packing a quilt or something, which you won't need in LA unless your roomie loves the A/C nice and freezing x.x

and DO NOT buy those advertised bedsheets. i remember a thread a while ago... read it and be warned: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=216945&highlight=linens%20scam%20bedding

besides, why trust any mail order when all you have to do is pick out your favorites at your local department store? target is really cheap yet great quality. twin xl of course, and they'll be in stock all summer. but keep in mind that private colleges start in august so they'll be a big rush around then. buy them ahead of time! :)
