I particularly like your statement taht you want to settle in CA, but the only way I can see this happening [after having attended UCLA …] is if you were to gain independence from your parents to work in CA and to gain residency yourself. [Because you can attend a more local u and subsequently move to CA afterwards, which might be a better option anyway.]
