Is it worth it to join?
It costs $300... anybody have any good/bad experiences with it?

Yes. $300 for lifetime membership is worth it.

It really depends how active you’ll be. If you plan on buying football or basketball tickets in the next couple of years, you will get a small discount. There are also a lot of discounts for other things, but if you’re an average Joe like me you probably won’t use them since the discounts usually apply for stuff like renting a conference room or staying in a luxurious hotel.

I know with the membership you can also go to all non-revenue sports for free (pft…ANYBODY can do that) and if you’re into tailgating, sometimes chapters at local areas will host tailgating parties. I know the Bay Area chapter hosted a tailgate party at Berkeley during the Cal-UCLA football game. It really depends how involved you are. IMO, it’s not really useful and it’s just a nice gesture to say, “Well I really liked UCLA, so I’m just going to give them another extra $300 because they’re awesome.”

I signed up for a year. I wish I’d just paid for the lifetime membership. It’s nice to show an affiliation with UCLA.
