Hi all! I received the UCLA Alumni Scholarship email invitation a while ago, and I read (from a forum in this site) that it is a decent indicator of admission (not as strong as a Regents invite, but still a positive sign). If the invitation is based off of GPA/SAT scores only (top 5-10% of UCLA applicants), does that mean that if I have good essays and very strong extra curricular activities (leadership roles in varsity tennis, performing arts etc., and medical research), I have a fairly good shot at being accepted?
Receiving an invitation to apply for the UCLA Alumni Scholarships Program is not an indication of admission. Admission decisions will be sent directly from the UCLA Undergraduate Admission Office. UCLA Alumni Affairs maintains its own schedule and assumes no responsibility for the timing, policies or decisions of UCLA Undergraduate Admission.
Applications are available to all students who applied to UCLA.
