I'm an international applicant who just received an acceptance letter from UCLA
I've kept my first semester grades high, maintaing a 3.95 GPA, but I played sports during third quarter and I unfortunately got 68 (D) in AP Calculus BC. My school divides terms into 1st and 2nd, so I still have a chance at raising my grade.
Is the issue of getting one D a serious problem when it comes to UCLA denying my acceptance?

Yes. I believe they’ll revoke your accpetance if you get a D or F in any of your classes. So I suggest you bring that D up.

You still have hope though. Try sucking up to your Calc teacher or something.

If the D is going to be recorded on your transcript, then you have to report it to UCLA. The campus will consider the grade in context of your overall achievement and decide whether to extend or rescind the acceptance. If the D will not be recorded on your transcript, then do your best to get it up to a C; in which case you will not need to inform UCLA.
